Critical Care Float Pool / Charge RN / Acute Care
We are seeking a Critical Care Float Pool Charge RN for an immediate opening in Las Vegas, Nevada! The Critical Care Float Pool RN manages the nursing care of critically ill patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Critical Care Float Pool / Charge RN / Acute Care
Responsibilities
- Assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs.
- Carries out physician orders.
- Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs.
- Provides respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
- Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well coordinated patient care.
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Instructs and educates patients and families.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Provides age and culturally appropriate care.
- Orients and mentors new staff members.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Requirements/Qualifications
- 2 years of current acute care hospital critical care experience
- Must have Supervisor or charge experience
- Current license in Nevada as a Registered Nurse.
- Will you accept pending license: Yes – if license in process and far along in process will accept)
- Current Certifications Required: BCLS/ACLS upon hire – NIHSS within 90 days Preferred: CCRN.
- Passing score on Critical Care Test/ Rhythm interpretation examination.
- BSN preferred – Will accept ASN if enrolled in BSN program
- 2 years of current acute care hospital critical care experience
